This is probably caused by residual media released by your Berkey® fluoride and arsenic reduction elements. They contain a media that is inert and insoluble in water, this does not pose a risk to your health. In this case, we recommend re-priming your filters on both sides for 20 to 30 seconds (on each side). This action should remove any residual dust from the elements and produce clear water in your lower chamber.
