Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ Filter Elements
Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filter elements are officially approved by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. for use in Berkey® gravity water filtration systems.
They provide a cost-effective and high-performance alternative to Black Berkey® elements, while delivering premium filtration quality. Thanks to high-temperature activated coconut shell carbon, these filters develop millions of micropores capable of trapping and absorbing a wide range of contaminants found in drinking water.
The dense, ultra-porous filter matrix ensures a high retention capacity for impurities (sediment, rust, colloids, herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals, etc.) while maintaining an excellent water flow rate. The resulting water is pure and neutral, retaining essential minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
The list of pollutants and contaminants treated by Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition filters is available in our FAQ.
You will also find the analysis results there.
Key Features
- Compatible with all Berkey® systems and most similar gravity filtration systems.
- Highly efficient filtration: reduces or removes sediment, rust, turbidity, herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), pharmaceuticals, chlorine, PFAS, PFOA, PFOS, and other common municipal water contaminants.
- Premium activated carbon made from CTC 60 coconut shell carbon, offering exceptional adsorption capacity.
- Advanced microfiltration: the microporous structure creates a “tortuous path” that effectively traps undissolved particles.
- Natural-tasting water: beneficial minerals (calcium, magnesium, etc.) are preserved, and the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) remains unchanged.
- Safe and durable materials: glass-fiber reinforced polymer base, BPA-free, compliant with NSF/FDA food-grade standards.
- NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certified and tested by third-party laboratories according to EPA, NABL, ISO 9000, and ISO 17025 protocols.
- Quick installation in the upper chamber of your Berkey® or other gravity system.
- Compatible with Berkey PF-2® elements for fluoride and arsenic reduction.
- Re-cleanable throughout their service life for extended use.
- High flow rate: approximately 16 L/h when the upper chamber is full.
