Berkey® red coloring - 2 x 3.5 ml

Berkey® dye, especially imported from the USA, is the only dye recommended by the manufacturer Berkey®.
It is the dye to use to test your system, on the one hand because it is red and artificial, and on the other hand, because they contain neither glucose, nor E330 and thickener, or other type of coloring such as E110 (yellow derivative) which can distort the results.

When to test your system?
Thiis test is to confirm that the system has been correctly assembled and that there are no internal leaks in your system. We recommend performing this test after first assembling our systems, after removing or replacing Black Berkey® elements, or upon first use after drying and storing the elements for an extended period of time.

For ensure the proper sealing of your installation: if the test fails, this reveals insufficient sealing at the level of the blocking plugs (for models with 4 holes and more) or poor tightening of the wing nuts, or a faulty wing nut. If necessary, carry out the checks as set out in the instructions available here.
In the case of filtration of water other than tap water: if you have decided to filter the water from your well, of your water collector, borehole or any other source, you must ensure correct assembly but also be sure of the proper functioning of your filters.
